Ovrdbf with Opnqryf

Can we use OVRDBF command without using of OPNQRYF ? Or can we use OPNQRYF command without using of OVRDBF command ?

When we are using OPNQRYF command at that time Before OPNQRYF CMD we must and should use the OVRDBF command.But when we use the OVRDBF command alone itself no problem that means

OVRDBF FILE(*LIB/FILE)
RCVF

IT'S WORK NO PROBLEM.BUT WHEN WE SPECIFY

OPNQRYF QRTSLT(EMPCDE *GT 10)

ALONE IS NOT POSSIBLE IT SHOWS ERROR AT THAT TIME BEFORE OPNQRY FILE WE CAN USE THE OVRDBF CMD THAT'S IMPORTANT...

OVRDBF is only for Sharing ODP throughout the calling programs.
we can use OPNQRYF without OVRDBF but its of no use.
For ex
If we use OVRDBF + OPNQRYF in our program, then if we use RCVF command will read only the selected records from OPNQRYF
If we use OPNQRYF alone, then RCVF will read the file fully and not the selected records from OPNQRYF
Finally if we want to use the selected records from OPNQRYF in RPG program after CL, then we need to use OVRDBF + OPNQRYF + CPYFRMQRYF
