How to know the number of records in a PF through CL program?

1. Through RUNRQY OUTFORM(SUMMARY)
2. RTVMBRD The number of non deleted (current) records NBRCURRCD.
The number of deleted records NBRDLTRCD.
we come to know the total no. of records in a file from the above command through CL program. Especially by using RTVMBRD we will get all the information in a PF.

The correct answer...
use command DSPFD FILE(LIBOBJ/FILEA1) then Enter
then PGDOWN to last there u can see no.of records

Total number of members not
available . . : 0
Total records . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
2488

PGM

DCL &NBRRCD TYPE(*DEC) LEN(10 0)

RTVMBRD FILE(FILLIB/FILEA1) MBR(*FIRST)
NBRCURRCD(&NBRRCD)
