IBMi DB2/400

I was trying to use 'DFT' keyword for a Physical File with character string( example 'Hyderabad') for one of the filed and compiled. I've entered the data in all the fields leaving the the filed blank which keyword was specified DFT('Hyderabad').

When I try to display the data , the field was not showing the DFT value which suppose to show us 'Hyderabd' character string. It just leave the field blank..

Any idea ? What is the proper way to use 'DFT' keyword function for PF.

Please use INZPFM command to initialize the file. then update the file fields.
